There are no well established and natural cures for ear infections. I’m not aware of any non-medical remedies for viral infections of the inner ear.
However, if you have an outer ear infection, anything that acidifies the outer ear might make it better. So for example, if you mix some vinegar and water together and create some acidic acid and drip it in your ear, it’s extremely safe, and it would probably cure about 60 percent of ear infections.
There’s no naturopathic or homeopathic treatment that I am aware of for middle ear infections. However, the current trend is to allow the body to treat these infections without the use of antibiotics, because the overuse of antibiotics has led to antibiotic resistant bacteria, and this is a big problem for us in the medical community.
So if a child has an ear infection, and isn’t running a much of a fever, and isn’t in very much pain, the current trend is not to treat, except with symptomatic therapy. That is to say something for the pain, and in effect be homeopathic, and let the body cure the ear infection.
